Billboard Battles to Watch As we watch legislation taking shape on the national stage, we are keeping our eyes on billboard issues going on right now in places like Missouri, West Virginia, and Providence.
The City of Austin is taking a case against Reagan and Lamar Advertising to the Supreme Court. Austin's sign code only allows digitization for on-premise signs. The advertising firms claim that this infringes on first amendment rights. Scenic Texas joined other like-minded organizations in an amicus brief to support the sign code.
Pedestrian-friendly Underpass Takes Shape in Walton County
Over the past few years, Scenic Walton has worked tirelessly for the development of a safe and scenic underpass in Inlet Beach. The plans came to fruition this week as ground was officially broken on the project.
