Metro and the City are quickly moving forward on the Metro Transportation Communications Program (TCN), a plan to install 56 new billboards including 34 "freeway-facing" and 22 "non-freeway-facing" structures on our City streets. There will be 98 digital ad faces installed (62 freeway-facing billboards and 36 non-freeway-facing billboards) on the proposed structures.
When the Metro Board was voting to adopt the TCN program, LA City's Metro Board members told concerned citizens that there would be ample opportunity to raise questions and concerns when the program came before the City. Now the program is quickly moving forward WITHOUT opportunities for the public to weigh in, and without a completed environmental impact study.
